This has forged a rural-urban bond in Panama with deep roots in the agricultural industry, which has resulted in a growing complementary economy between the families that live in rural areas and those who live in the cities.

In order for the agricultural, farming and agro-industrial sector to demonstrate that its products have enough quality to compete in a globalized environment, the industry must take advantage of the most important and efficient promotional and marketing tools available.

Trade fairs are the venues where demand and supply meet. They facilitate business transactions and constitute a medium through which members of the sector can promote their goods and services, monitor competition, test and launch new products, study the market, visit and be visited by potential clients, establish relationships with distributors and close sales deals.

Today, the EXPO RURAL and EXPO CARNE trade fair acts as a point of reference and a large showcase of the primary and agro-industrial sectors of Panama and the world.
